This fine silver collectable coin celebrates the 100th anniversary of the famous Bluenose, the Grand Banks fishing schooner whose racing feats and indomitable spirit earned it the title of "Queen of the North Atlantic." This ship was designed both as a working fishing vessel and a racing craft. The Bluenose triumphed in its first race in 1921, and the ship remained undefeated through an 18 year career. Since 1937, the Bluenose has appeared on Canada's 10-cent circulation coin.
