This 14 karat gold collectable coin recognizes the discovery of oil in Leduc, Alberta. Imperial Oil Limited, the country's oldest oil company, had been diligently exploring Canada's northern and western landscape, but after 27 years and 133 dry wells, hope was fading. Hope was restored when the Leduc oil field in Alberta released its 200-million-barrel prize in February, 1947.
All collectable coins have been previously owned. Conditions will vary.
