The Great Spangled Fritillary butterfly is brought to life on this collectable sterling silver coin with a dazzling hologram. There are 26 species of fritillaries throughout Canada and the Great Spangled Fritillary (Speyeria cybele) is one of the largest and most widespread of these butterflies. Males are orange with black veins on the upper surface while the females are yellow-brown and darker on the base of the wings. Groups of these brightly coloured butterflies can often be seen in open fields and along roadsides where they feed on milkweeds and thistles.
All collectable coins have been previously owned. Conditions will vary.
