The first commercial coal mine in Canada was opened in 1720 near Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. This 22 karat collectable coin commemorates this industry with a special black colouring to accent the coal. The first recorded mineral export from Canada was coal and by 1873, there were eight coal companies operating in the region.
All collectable coins have been previously owned. Conditions will vary.
