The Wood Bison, featured on this beautiful fine silver collectable coin, once dominated the western plains. It was a critical source of food and materials for First Nations communities that virtually collapsed when over-hunting by Europeans decimated bison populations. Conservation efforts have begun to re-establish bison populations, but they remain far below their former million-mark. The design is based on traditional Kwakwaka’wakw and Tlingit forms.
All collectable coins have been previously owned. Conditions will vary.
