This pure gold collectable coin depicts Norse explorers, with their sailing vessel anchored offshore, landing for the first time on the shores of the New World. Accurately drawn from Vikings characteristics of that time, the ship, clothes, weapons, and utilities reflect historical characteristics. In 1960, archaeologists unearthed a small Viking camp in Newfoundland’s L’Anse aux Meadows, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
