A collaboration between The Royal Canadian Mint and Canada Post, this fine silver collectable coin and stamp set features an adorable baby Atlantic puffin in full colour. The Atlantic puffin (Fratercula arctica) is a familiar sight along the shores of Newfoundland and Labrador, where it enjoys the distinction of being the province's official bird since 1992. Baby puffins, known as chicks, mostly feed on whole fish and grow rapidly. After about 6 weeks, they are fully fledged and make their way at night to the sea. They swim away from the shore and do not return to land for several years.
All collectable coins have been previously owned. Conditions will vary.
