The Notre-Dame Basilica, one of Canada's architectural treasures, is beautifully depicted using a full colour hologram on this fine silver collectable coin. The two towers of the Basilica's impressive facade stand vigil over Notre Dame Street in Montreal.  The building was quite innovative for its time. The architect, James O'Donnell, only added to its interest by infusing its distinctly classical structure with gothic ornamentation.
