A collaboration between The Royal Canadian Mint and Canada Post has produced this collectable fine silver coin and stamp set featuring the wood bison (Bison bison athabascae) as part of the Royal Canadian Mint's popular Canadian Wildlife fine silver bullion coin series. The wood bison once dominated the western plains and was a critical source of food and materials for Indigenous communities. Tragically, over-hunting by Europeans decimated bison populations. Conservation efforts have begun to re-establish these populations, but they remain far below their former million-mark.
All collectable coins have been previously owned. Conditions will vary.
