This fine silver collectable coin design, originally released in 1994, presents the National War Memorial to honour the sacrifice of Canadians during times of war, enhanced with gold plating.  Originally built to commemorate the Canadians who died in the First World War, it was rededicated in 1982 to also include those killed in the Second World War and Korean War. It was rededicated again in 2104 to honour the dead from the Second Boer War, the War in Afghanistan, as well as all Canadians killed in all conflicts past and future.
